Kyoto TAG
TAG STATIONERY is a stationery and miscellaneous goods manufacturer born from a stationery store founded in Kyoto.
With the spread of digital technology, stationery is changing from its traditional role. Stationery stores were originally called “brush shops.”
They want to return to the simple tool of “handwriting” and cherish the simple inspiration of creativity and peace of mind that comes from the hand.
The brand name “TAG” expresses our desire to be a marker that accompanies daily life, like a tag or sticky note.
Except their own brand, they operates also following:

FUMISOME | Bunzome
Dyeing the text. Dyeing the letters on the paper.
The color of the ink, the thickness and fluctuation of the lines, the degree of bleeding…if you look closely at the casually written letters, you will discover many things.
Just like choosing clothes depending on your mood that day, choose a writing implement to match the words you write and dye as you please. From Kyoto, a city that has nurtured the tradition of dyeing and weaving, we propose another way to enjoy writing culture.

Sounds of Kyoto|KYONOOTO
This writing instrument brand focuses on dye inks, which were developed in collaboration with Kyoto Kusakizome Research Institute, a dyeing and weaving specialist. The writing inks, which recreate traditional Japanese colors used since the Heian period with a modern interpretation, feature gradations of light and dark that take advantage of the bleeding characteristics of dyes.
