Lamy editions happen to be very similar to previous models. I’ve collected some comparisons of colours that could be hard to distinguish or are just interesting to be seen side by side.

Lamy Safari White and Safari Alpine

Alpine is an old discontinued model and have a bit darker shade.

Lamy Safari Yellow, Safari Old Yellow and Safari Candy Mango

Yellow is a current one, old yellow is discontinued and was a bit darker. Mango is even darker and falls a bit into orange.

Lamy Al-Star Copper Orange, Safari Orange and Safari Terra

Terra is a bit less saturated and falls into browns.

Lamy Safari Rot and Safari Terra

Between old Terra (Rot) and new one there is also slight difference – old is more orange and saturated.

Lamy Au Black, Gold, Bronze and Rose Gold

Au Black and Gold are almost indistinguishable.

Lamy LX Rose Gold, Al-Star Cosmic, Al-Star Pearl and Al-Star Aluminium

It’s hard to distinguish Cosmic and Peal without direct comparison. Peal is old model with a bit different graving of logo and more beige, while Cosmic is more pinkish. Some images shows Peal as almost white, but it’s not,

They are very similar, Marron is a bit more red tones.

Those models are visibly different, but for now only 2 grey Safari’s released. Both hard to find.

Lamy LX Ruthenium, Al-Star Graphite, Al-Star Whitesilver and LX Palladium

Lamy Al-Star Whitesilver, Al-Star Aluminium and LX Palladium

Whitesilver and Aluimnium are indistinguishable, the biggest difference is that Aluminium is older model and have differently graved Lamy logo. Palladium is a bit warmer shade, not such pure silver one.
